Nature

I just have to share with you all how amazing the nature is up here. Every time I step out my door I praise God for His creation and then I go for a walk and stand in awe at the views laid out before me ... mountains reflected in the water of the fjord, mist rising from the mountains, the river winding through the valleys, the smell of forest and fresh air.

Our house is the top of a small cliff and this first photo was taken at the bottom of the cliff. The second photo was from a bike ride Lenneke and I went on today and it shows you a bit more how were are totally surrounded by mountains.

These steps are the way up/down the cliff to the river and these are the mushrooms that grow on the steps.

And then there are the berries! There are so many raspberries and blueberries all over the place.
Here I am picking blue berries outside our house.

Well we had to do something with the berries, there was also jam but it was so yummy we've almost finished it.
Those berries are just sooooo good.

Just so you know, Caitlin & Georgia typed those comments themselves! It was very cute - Georgia took about 10 mins to write her one, so I hope you appreciate it!
I think they miss Becca when they come and see us - I'm a poor substitute, I guess it's cos I don't make them balance on my feet in the air!!

Cool fungi Bec :)
We are all envious of those berries!
God is certainly providing isn't He, who knew it would be wild berries.
Enjoy, love Ma

bec, bec, i found you, this is only my second ever blog, so you should feel proud. u def get techno babe of the year award, but i would just like to comment on two things, u def need to mke this clear: how do they let someone who looks like you be missionary (re punk pic!) and also, is mez and mo's baby named abbey like after westminster abbey? is that spelling on purpose? i wondered if it was just you and your super spelling powers!

also, your pdf newsletter's looking very prof, so kudos to you, you also get the "gee, look who's got too much time on thier hands" award, long may that last!

your house looks primo, bet ur glad you never shortcut God on that house buying idea!!!!

also, that yoghurt thing, ahahaha, what can i say, but i hear ya dude, ONLY YOU!!!! (and also maybe me, but i'd be sqealing for help, or maybe milk also!)

love u stax, fyi, i miss u heaps, saw ur mum and laura at dove last month and practically cried with happiness coz i was missing you so much and they were so the next best thing! also, will forward ur email on to trav, unless u mind, please let me know. FYI unofficially, the wedding will be in about a year and a half's time! there's more official stuff to tell u but i assume blogs are public as, and don't wanna spill any rings - oops i mean beans - so that everyone hears whatever i'm tryna say oficialy and in good time.

anyway, love u lots, sorry for overloading ur blog (can you do that, is it like a tx msg???)

hear from u soon
dee

looking at your photos makes me think of the summer holidays we went on when we were in Sweden. it makes you want to go back or come visit you (when would be a good time?). hope you are enjoying the good weather before to all the dark and cold. how far way are you from the base? it doesn't look like a little cliff in the photo. love em
