I guess most people hear that I got really sick the last few days in Mali. A couple of people in our team had some sort of NASTY stomach bug and I got bronchitis on top of that. I have never been that sick in my adult life, I even fainted a few times and i have NEVER done that before. The worst part was that when i was most sick was during our travel days, try having vomiting and diarrhea on a 12 hour bus trip! Not to mention the planes. Once back in Norway the people who were still sick went to the hospital for tests - luckily all my results were fine.
But I did weigh myself to see how much I had lost after 10 days of hardly eating and being sick, to my surprise it was 7 whole kilos. My jeans were huge on me! But don't worry i have put almost all of it back on in under 10 days.
So yes I am back all safe and sound at the base in Norway, it is quite a difference going from this ...
to this....
in a few days!
I will put up more photos from Mali soon, the DTS is finished on Monday and then i will have more time.
Thank you to all for your prayers and thoughts, especially when i was sick, they are very much appreciated.
