Spring

Spring is now well underway at Borgen but here are the last shots of winter and the fun activities...

I built a snowman with some others from the base and I also made a snow shelter, but i have to admit that i made that one on my own - i was kind of bored one day so I spent a few hours outside sculpting away. It was quite therapeutic i must say, although the shelter had collapsed by the next day as it was above freezing and everything melted.

I think all the snow has gone at Borgen now, although I am no longer living in my log cabin in the mountains of Arctic Norway :( I am in the south of Norway taking a 6 weeks 'Missions Course' at the base here. On my way down I stopped to visit my friend Lene near Oslo and it was practically summer there! just check out these pics...

I felt so good i thought i could fly... but I'm afraid not...

I just managed to fall clumsily to the ground and embarrassed my self so much that I tried to run away and hide...but i got stuck in the fence ... just adding to my embarrassment.

But I did manage to find a rock to hide under, ok well it was more of a rest on but was nice none the less. I'm not quite sure what Lene found under the rock but it must have been fascinating!

This next photo is the view from my bedroom at Skjærgårdsheimen, it was literally taken from the door of my room that leads to the deck, really nice!

It is a little strange to go from staff to student again in YWAM and also going from having a whole house to myself to sharing a room again! But I'm sure it will all be good.

There are a few people here who have already been swimming, it is still only about 15 degrees outside, I think I will wait a few more degrees before i jump in though!

Bec, You are such a crack up, I am so glad you haven't lost your sense of adventure - when you were young climbing thru fences used to be easy :)
Stunning view, enjoy your course & summer.
Lots of luv, Ma

Man, you must have some kind of Jonah-anointing, if you write about the things you get stuck in (it being a fence, not a whale). We still had some snow at Borgen and it has been below zero.

Hey Becky Poo, i love all the effort you put into your snowman, eyebrows, hair and everything, and the spoon that was in your snow shelter - is that what you used to erect it? Or were you eating the snow?
Anyway, hope you are fully entertained where you are at the moment, and enjoying the gorgeous view from your room.
Love you
Laurie Poo
